FOWAS always has a need for volunteers

Hands On / Weekly

Patient Checkout: hand off furry patients to their owners with follow-up instructions.
Some training is involved. This is perfect for anyone interested in a career in veterinary medicine.
Location: FOWAS Clinic: 150A Pennsylvania Drive, Watsonville, CA 96076
Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours a week / Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Pet Photography: take pictures of our furry clients with and/or without their owners.
If you love animals, are good with people and like taking pictures, this is for you!

Behind the Scenes

Flyer Distribution: put up bilingual spay/neuter informational flyers on bulletin boards at various locations around the county.
Location: Santa Cruz County
Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours a month

Education

Event Tabling: provide information about FOWAS, our programs and services, the importance of spaying and neutering, and answer questions in a public setting.
Location: Santa Cruz County
Time Commitment: 2 - 4 hours per event on an as-needed basis

Occasional/Seasonal

Address envelopes: help us get our holiday and fundraising newsletters out to the public!
Location: Watsonville
Time Commitment: 1 – 3 hours per session on an as-needed basis
